I removed Category:Canals in China. All the existing articles in this category were Dams - Dams on rivers, not canals.
China has famous canals, and most or all of those canals presumably have locks. If individual locks, or flights of locks, get standalone articles, then they would belong in this category.
I don't think canals themselves should be included here, even if they have locks. I suggest that locks that don't merit standalone articles should not be listed in this category at all. Specifically it should not include any wikilinks of the form Famous Chinese canal#less than famous lock. Geo Swan (talk) 23:52, 12 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
