Category talk:Lists of buildings and structures

Page contents not supported in other languages.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Entries are mainly sorted by type and then by location. Lists of structures are under "*", buildings under "B". "Tall buildings in Birmingham" are sorted under "Buildings, tallest in Birmingham". To achieve some consistency, the table below details how the sortkeys were set.

If there are many of the same type, these are placed in a subcategory, e.g. Category:Lists of museums.

# Sorted by Format Sample
1 Type With capitalization
Just "*" for Structures
"Masts"

2 Subtype (if available) no capitalization, prefixed by ", "

No prefix, but capitalization if type is "*"
use ", tallest" not ", tall".
"Stadiums, football"
"Pyramids, Egyptian"
"*Tallest"
"Buildings, tallest in Birmingham"
3 Location (if available) prefixed by "in " "Churches in Venice"
"Buildings, tallest in Sydney"
