Index[edit]

I propose to put an index in the pages, so one can move around fast. Adrian Comollo (talk) 09:15, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've now added a table-of-contents to Category:Human proteins, to help navigation by first-letter. Nearly 20,000 pages here, and it looks like only one species has a proteins category! --Zigger «º» 13:55, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New list trying to merge the info from this an other pages[edit]

I made a new article: List of proteins in the human body , that tries to make a framework for merging the info in this an other sub pages. let me know what you think about the idear and how it could be pulled off better? Claes Lindhardt (talk) 12:43, 12 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This list is very incompleate, and it might be unclear for new users[edit]

Even though this seems like a fair estimate, maybe something like

'by looking from the bottom up there are ~20,000 protein coding genes in the human genome, (of which it is estimated that 12,733 already have Wikipedia articles (the Gene Wiki) about them). If one where to Including splice variants, some argue that there could be as many as 500,000 unique human proteins, of which only about 900 is listed here.' Claes Lindhardt (talk) 09:03, 23 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe we could also add that it is the human body on the form that it have now, and that the proteins in humans might have been different ealier and that it will likely be different in the future? Claes Lindhardt (talk) 18:18, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Integrating info from other wiki pages[edit]

Maybe it would also make sense to include some of the information from: Transporter Classification Database, Index of protein-related articles, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proteins_produced_and_secreted_by_the_liver , List of enzymes here?

Is there a non manual way of comparing the contents of one category to another? Claes Lindhardt (talk) 09:08, 23 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Making a see also section[edit]

would it make sense to link List of human protein-coding genes 1, List of human protein-coding genes 2, List of human protein-coding genes 3, or List of human protein-coding genes 4 in the see also section? Claes Lindhardt (talk) 09:11, 23 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe also: Gene Wiki Claes Lindhardt (talk) 09:12, 23 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
