Inclusion of any/all parliamentary constituencies in this cat[edit]

90% of this category's elements appear to be "parliamentary constituency" articles. Seems (to me) like mis-categorisation. Seriously recommend either:

  • Creating a subcat under Cat:History of Ireland 1801-1922 for Cat:Parliamentary constituencies of Ireland 1801-1922 (though this may be overcat), or
  • Removing these articles from this cat and ensuring the are correctly cat under the existing: Category:United Kingdom Parliamentary constituencies (historic) [1] or Category:Historic parliamentary constituencies in Ireland [2], or both.

I agree, there have been no objections in the three and more months since the issue was raised I'd suggest this can be done immediately.

Added Category:Historic Westminster constituencies in Ireland. See that page for criteria. Let the recategorization commence! jnestorius(talk) 17:11, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Cool - thanks - I'll help with moving some of those whenever I get a chance! Guliolopez 17:21, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is a great source of political history. Was there no culture / sport / business in this period?Wikiman 10:22, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Should people be included in this category?[edit]

No, I don't think so. This has come up before and the feeling was that as Irish historical figures belong to a number of sub-categories of this category, they should not be included here as a result. The problem is where to draw the line; we cannot list all those who featured in Irish history during the dates in question.--Damac 01:29, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
