Is there any reason this should not be a subcategory of Category:Weapons? –Blue Hoopy Frood (talk) 15:01, 12 September 2016 (UTC)
- Currently, Category:Explosive weapons is indirectly a sub-category of Category:Weapons, because Category:Explosive weapons is a subcategory of Category:Ammunition, which is a subcategory of Category:Firearms, which is a subcategory of Category:Projectile weapons, which is a subcategory of Category:Weapons - so Category:Explosive weapons does not need to be in Category:Weapons directly. Per WP:SUBCAT: "a page or category should rarely be placed in both a category and a subcategory or parent category (supercategory) of that category". (That's why I removed it, most recently with this edit.)
- Possibly the hierarchy of intermediate categories is wrong; if so, feel free to fix it. Mitch Ames (talk) 13:20, 13 September 2016 (UTC)
