Angelina Jaffe Carbonell is a Venezuelan lawyer. In 2019 she was appointed by the National Assembly as the Venezuelan ambassador to Luxembourg.

Career[edit]

Jaffe is a lawyer graduated from the Central University of Venezuela and obtained both a master's degree and a doctorate in law from the Sorbonne University. She has been a researcher at the Simón Bolívar University and the Institute for Advanced Studies, as well as director of the Pedro Gual Diplomatic Academy.[1]

In 1995 he received the National Award of the Academy of Political and Social Sciences.[1]

Angelina has also been a professor of public international law, advisor to the Presidential Negotiation Commission with Colombia and academic director of the Center for Strategic Studies and International Relations of the Universidad Metropolitana. She has published on public international law, international jurisprudence, law of the sea, human rights and international criminal justice.[1]

During the Venezuelan presidential crisis, on 19 February 2019, she was appointed by the National Assembly as Venezuela's ambassador to Luxembourg.[2]
