The 2014 United States Virgin Islands legislative election was held on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, to elect members of the 31st Virgin Islands Legislature.[1]

Summary[edit]

The Democratic Party of the Virgin Islands maintained their majority while securing 11 out of 15 seats. In the Senate at-large district race, Independent candidate Almando Liburd pulled off a huge victory over Democrat Ronnie Jones. The seat was previously controlled by Democrat Graig Barshinger for six years before he decided not to seek reelection. No primary were held for that seat.
