WikiProject Christianity: Baptist Work Group

Welcome to the Baptist work group of the Christianity WikiProject! This task force seeks to create, improve, maintain, and provide a standard of consistency for articles about Baptists, as well as create a forum in which interested editors can work together to improve articles.

Tasks

  • Tag articles
  • Recruit more members
  • Collaborate and join the discussions. If you know things, teach. (If you don't know things, ask.)
  • Add new articles, there are plenty of Baptist related articles still unaccounted for.
  • Expand articles (or merge if appropriate). All of these stubs would welcome further care and attention.
  • Start looking for featured articles and lists while getting familiar with and helping with assessment of Baptist articles. Then add an "Articles" section to this project page.
  • Check the list at Wikipedia:WikiProject Christianity/Baptist work group/Articles for any pages which are included in one or more print reference books on the topic of Baptists which haven't been either created or tagged yet.
  • Check these articles for recent changes function.
  • The Christianity Portal requires regular input and is always seeking volunteers.
  • Help address any issues regarding possible inappropriate categorization of either articles or categories.

With most of our articles assessed as Stub- or Start-Class, there's a lot of work to be done. However, we also have a significant number of good, A-Class, and featured articles, which have been assessed as amongst the best Wikipedia has to offer. These article serve as a yardstick for what can be achieved and should be aimed for, and can provide ideas about how to write an article and what sources to consult; they are listed below:
