Managing a conflict of interest[edit]
Hello, Redbrick37. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Draft:Red Brick Tavern, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. microbiologyMarcus [petri dish·growths] 02:07, 11 March 2024 (UTC)

March 2024[edit]
If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
- Provide a new username.
To do this, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.
Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Request reason:Administrators should consider discussing any unblock with the blocking administrator (see the blocking policy).
If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, please place {{subst:Unblock on hold-notification | 1=Redbrick37}}
on the administrator's talk page. Then replace this template with the following:
{{unblock-un on hold | 1=blocking administrator | 2=MWillis18 | 3=I am not being compensated for creating a wikipedia page about the Red Brick Tavern. It is on the national register of historic places, but has little to no information anywhere on the internet. I understand I did not have all of my information cited when I submitted the short article I had begun for review, but I have not completed the article as of yet and have several books and documents that I will be citing moving forward. I intend to contribute information regarding the history of the building itself as it has been around for nearly 200 years. I would like to be unblocked so I can provide the historical information I have uncovered from archives as well as books on the county the tavern is located in. Thank you. Redbrick37 (talk) 20:43, 11 March 2024 (UTC) | 4=~~~~}}
If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following:

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following, replacing {{subst:Decline reason here}}
with any specific rationale. If you do not edit the text after "decline=", a default reason why the request was declined will be inserted.
