Swap the Coloring for the Red and Blue Sections[edit]

I have made the same point on the source image for this.

The use of red for slave states and blue for free states is extremely prejudicial and inaccurate. Use of the colors in this scheme implies republicans made up the confederacy and democrats made up the union, however the opposite is true. This is even reflected in historical maps of the time such as this one also used in the exact same Wikipedia entry. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Reynolds%27s_Political_Map_of_the_United_States_1856.jpg If the reason behind this is the narrative that the parties switched, that too is factually inaccurate as there is no evidence to support that claim, and even if it was not, the use of this scheme would still be inappropriate as it would not reflect historical facts.
