Deutsch: Der Teesalon in der Wiener Staatsoper.
Der Teesalon (früher Hoffestlogensalon) diente früher als Empfangssalon, aber auch als Rückzugsort des Kaisers und ist direkt mit der heutigen Mittelloge, der einstigen Hoffestloge, verbunden. Er wurde vom Wiener Innenarchitekten Josef von Storck gestaltete und ist das Prunkstück der noch vorhandenen ursprünglichen Ausgestaltung der Oper und eines der herausragendsten kunstgewerblichen Leistungen des Historismus in Österreich. Das Deckengemälde wurde von dem Maler Carl Madjera (1828–1875) gemalt: [1]. Das Opernhaus selbst wurde ab Ende 1861 nach Plänen der Architekten August Sicard von Sicardsburg und Eduard van der Nüll im Stil der Neorenaissance errichtet. Nach amerikanischen Bombardements am 12. März 1945 geriet das Operngebäude in Brand und wurde gleich nach dem Krieg wieder aufgebaut. English: The tea salon in the Vienna Opera. |
