Vinctifer comptoni - fossil fish from the Cretaceous of Brazil. (CMC VP7187B, Cincinnati Museum of Natural History & Science, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA)
From museum signage:
This concretion from the Santana Formation follows the contours of its entombed gar-like fish. It suggests an episode of rapid burial and fossilization. In some Santana specimens, fossilization was so rapid that detailed cellular structure may be seen with microscopic examination.
