Description
English: Mr. Screen, a statue of a cinema usher by sculptor Vincent Browne outside the Screen Cinema in Dublin, Ireland, at the junction of Hawkins Street and Townsend Street. The helpful usher wears a smart uniform coat with epaulettes and a peaked cap, and gestures with his torch to direct audience members to their seats in the dark. His delightful leer reveals his love of darkness—with all its opportunities, and everything it hides.
