English: The former U.S. Navy dock landing ship USS Shadwell (LSD-15) in Mobile Bay, Alabama (USA), circa 2011. Shadwell was in service from 1944 to 1970. Since 1988 she is used by the U.S. Naval Research Laboaratory to develop damage control techniques.
