Summary

Description A RIM-2 Terrier surface-to-air missile is fired by the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CVA-63) in the Western Pacific during her first operational deployment between 13 September 1962 and 2 April 1963. Two Douglas A3D-2s of Heavy Attack Squadron VAH-13 Bats and a McDonnell F4H-1 Phantom II (BuNo 148408) from Fighter Squadron VF-114 Aardvarks are visible on deck.
