Deutsch: Geologische Karte der Typlokalität "Karst". Der internationale Fachbegriff der Geologie, Karst, wurde um 1900 nach dem gleichnamigen Gebirge in Slowenien benannt. Im chemisch lösbaren Karbonatgestein des Karst versickern Niederschläge meist vollständig. Data: Geodetska uprava Republike Slovenije.
English: Geological map, type locality "Karst". The name of the mountain chain in Slovenia, by ca. 1900 became the internationally defined geological term karst. Typical of karst surfaces is the chemical solubility of limestone. Precipitation usually sinks underground. Data: Geodetska uprava Republike Slovenije.
