Text Appearing Before Image: k of the gorge,to Lewiston, is owned by the Niagara Gorge Railroad Co. Thi;difficult and interesting piece of track construction was describedin detail in the Review for January, 1900. The company now owns 21 motor cars and 25 trailers, all of Brillmake, and the road has been thoroughly overhauled in anticipationof a heavy traffic during this summer. Long term traffic agree-ments have recently been made with the International TractionCo. for terminal facilities in the city of Niagara Falls, N. Y., givingthe Gorge road connection with other interurban roads convergingon Main St. of that city. Owing to the nature of the debris slope and irregular ledges since it was first opened, and unless all signs fail, will return a sat-isfactory income to its owners during the forthcoming season. We quote from a letter of the engineer, Mr. Geo. A. The company has just completeda new steel trestle near Lewiston, the installation of which marksthe completion of the Niagara Gorge R. R. as originally planned.Since 1895 a timber structure has carried the tracks of the roadacross a short but deep ravine just north of and below the Lewis-ton escarpment.
