Français : TOURNAI — Maisons de Fondations pour veuves : N°29 (les trois premières travées de l'ensemble architectural visible sur la photo) et les numéros 31-33

Sur deux plaques placées aux dessus de deux entrées, sont écrits les textes suivants  : "Hospices Civils - Fondation Saint François crée par une Dame du Gard pour 6 Veuves" & "Hospices Civiles - Fondation Saint Brice pour 9 veuves". Édifice construit en 1678, soit après la prise de la ville par Louis XIV. Maisons caractérisées par la composition architectonique qui prévalait à l"époque à Tournai avec l'utilisation de la pierre et de la brique et, une mise en valeur supplémentaire du bâti par une toiture amortie sur une large corniche aux corbeaux de bois sculptés.
