Summary

Description
English: Tomb of the Rothe family provided for by John Rothe in his 1619 will, situated in the Chapel of St Michael the Archangel in St. Mary's Church, Kilkenny. It is presumed that Bishop David Rothe is buried here as well, since he could not be buried at St. Canice's Cathedral when Kilkenny was under siege by Oliver Cromwell in 1650 and the cathedral was used as horse stables.
