Română: Descrierea stemei:

Stema comunei Târnava se compune, conform anexei nr. 1, dintr-un scut triunghiular albastru cu marginile rotunjite, încărcat de o furcă de argint.

În partea dreaptă și în partea stângă a furcii se află câte o ghirlandă cu trei ciorchini de struguri cu vrej și trei frunze, totul de aur.

Scutul este timbrat cu o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.

Semnificațiile elementelor însumate

Câmpul albastru sugerează elementul de continuitate și de tranziție în privința locuirii în această zonă, unde acum majoritatea populației este românească.

Furca de argint este un element aluziv, care trimite la o piesă de vestimentație a preoților romano-catolici (epitrahilul) și care amintește de faptul că, la întemeiere, localitatea a fost locuită de coloniștii sași, de religie romano-catolică.

Coroana murală cu un turn crenelat semnifică faptul că localitatea are rangul de comună.
