Message on verso to Mr J Swan, Sailors' Home, Auckland, from SS "Sterling", Aratapu, Kaipara, says: Dear Joe, This job is A1, I have been looking out for you regards job, & skipper says he will let me know soon, there are always jobs going here. I wrote to Grant about my box of clothes [...], will you kindly give them over to Mr Grant's care, I will come over end of month. You will see to this won't you, as I do not want to loose them. Yrs J Thorbath[?]
