Summary

Description
Deutsch: Bima.
English: Bimah. Remains of Vienna's oldest synagogue. The synagogue was the spritiual centre of Jewish scholarship which extended over the continent of Europea and enjoyed one of its heydays here in Vienna. The destruction of the synagogue in 1421, motivated by hatred and misconceptions, marked the end of Vienna's first Jewish community.
