Description
English: Magnus Jákupsson is a Faroese swimmer, born in 1994. Even if he is very young he has already sat quite a few Faroese records in swimming, not only junior records, but regular adult records. He participated in the European Junior Championship on long course in 2011 in Beograd. He didn't qualify for any final, but he sat five new Faroese records. His best result from the European Junior Championship 2011 was number 10 in 50 meter back stroke and number 13 in 50 meter butterfly. Jákupsson also participated in the Island Games 2011 in Isle of Wight. He won three gold, five silver and one bronze medal for the Faroe Islands.
Føroyskt: Magnus Jákupsson er føroyskur svimjari. Hann hevur klárað seg væl í fleiri ymiskum sløgum av svimjing og hevur longu (august 2011) hóast sín unga aldur sett fleiri føroysk met, ikki bara juniormet men fyri vaksin. Hann luttók í EJM 2011 á langbana og fekk svam við sera góðum tíðum. Hann svam seg ikki í nakra finalu, men setti fimm nýggj føroysk met (vaksin og junior met). Tað bestu plaseringarnar hjá honum vóru eitt 10. pláss í 50 metrar rygg og 13. pláss í 50 metrar firvald. Sama mánað svam luttók hann eisini í Oyggjaleikum 2011 á Isle of Wight, har vann hann 3 gull, 5 silvur og eitt bronsu heiðursmerki.
Dansk: Magnus Jákupsson er færøsk svømmer, født i 1994. Han har allerede sat flere færøske rekorder indenfor svømning, f.eks. i 50 meter ryg, 50 meter fri og 50 meter butterfly, 100 meter butterfly og 200 meter ryg. Disse rekorder satte han da han deltog i EJM (Europamesterskabet for juniorer) 2011. Han svømmede sig dog ikke i nogen finale. Hans bedste placering ved EJM var en 10. plads i 50m ryg og en 13. plads i 50 meter butterfly. Samme måned deltog han også i Island Games på Isle of Wight, der vandt han 3 guld, 5 sølv og en bronse medalje.
