Description
English: SS-Oberscharführer Karl Pötzinger (1908–1944), a Holocaust perpetrator who began his World War II career at the Brandenburg Euthanasia Centre and at the Bernburg Euthanasia Centre with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was transferred to Treblinka extermination camp at the onset of Operation Reinhard of 1942. Pötzinger became Deputy Commandant of Treblinka II under SS-Scharführer Heinrich Matthes, supervising the gas chambers and later, serving as head of the cremation kommando in the Totenlager.
Polski: SS-Oberscharführer Karl Pötzinger (1908–1944), partycypował w Holokauście podczas Drugiej Wojny, początkowo zatrudniony w ośrodkach eutanazji, a od 1942 roku w Treblince. Po 1942 roku przemieszczony do Triestu. Zmarł w 1944 roku od rany zadanej przez szrapnel.
