Description
English: Overview of the Capt. James Moore Homestead, located on Abbs Valley Road southwest of Boissevain in Tazewell County, Virginia, United States. Moore was one of the first settlers in the region, and although he was murdered by Indians and his family were kidnapped after just a few years of living here, their homesite is a significant archaeological site and has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Placed in 1928, the monument is not part of the designation.
