Summary

Description
English: The Garden Peninsula (left middle), the Stonington Peninsula (left bottom), and the Door Peninsula (a small part of the tip at far right), with the Potawatomi Islands in between. Many ice stringers trailing off into Lake Michigan. Taken 1:53:41 PM Central on February 22, 2014 during Expedition 38 of the International Space Station. Another picture taken around this time was File:ISS-38 Washington Island on Lake Michigan.jpg, which was released as an Image of the Day on March 10, 2014 with an extended caption discussing ice stringers.
