English: Globe Mills, Slaithwaite Established in 1887 (date in the roundel in the centre)as a worsted spinning mill by Globe Worsted Company. Main mill is fireproof, of five storeys and 33 bays and has a central engine house and rope race. The newly restored Huddersfield Narrow Canal now runs in front of this mill but was then culverted.
