Summary

Description
English: Ruins of Uppsala Castle's south wing and southeast tower following the fire of 1702. The drawing's title indicates parts of the ruined castle were under demolition at the time. The depiction shows that the western part of the south wing, which housed the royal apartments, had been razed (it would have been located in the left-most part of the drawing). The east wing, or "Long Castle," which mostly survived the fire is not shown (it would at the right-most part of the drawing).
