Summary

Description
English: ELECTRIC PUMP, HOSE AND BALL

The first two were used to transfer the wines.

The rubber pipes, which were laxed and armed with a spiral of steel, appeared around 1860, threaded brass fittings that could be screwed onto the noses of faucets or on pump tips.

These, moulted with arms for the first, then by motors as the electrification progressed (in Agde, as early as 1891-1892), were of various types: pistons ("catalan" pumps), pallets ..., which required valves were replaced by rubber-covered balls, which were less sensitive to the presence of foreign bodies (seeds).
Français : POMPE ELECTRIQUE, TUYAU FLEXIBLE ET BOULET
