English: Since 2003, Donkervoort has equipped this car with the Audi 1.8T 20V-E gas turbo charged engine. This engine not only has proven reliability but it also meets the strictest emission standards and has a significantly compact, lightweight construction. Qualities that make this powerhouse superbly suited for use in a Donkervoort. In the D8, the engine is available with 150, 180, 210 or 270 bhp. Together with a total weight of just 630 kilos, this makes the D8 an extremely fast car. Depending on the version, it takes between 3.8 and 5.2 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. Nederlands: Sinds 2003 bouwt Donkervoort de Audi 1.8T 20V E-gas turbomotor in. Deze motor heeft zich qua betrouwbaarheid volop bewezen en voldoet bovendien aan de strengste emissie-eisen. Daarnaast zijn de compacte en lichte bouw van de motor van belang. Eigenschappen die deze krachtbron uitermate geschikt maken voor gebruik in een Donkervoort. In de D8 is de motor leverbaar in vier vermogens: 150 pk, 180 pk, 210 pk en 270 pk. In combinatie met een totaalgewicht van slechts 630 kilogram, maakt dat de D8 extreem snel. Afhankelijk van het type neemt de acceleratie van 0 naar 100 km/u tussen de 3,8 en circa 5,2 seconden in beslag. |
