Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3) * The image is of historical importance to the article - it is one of the most iconic images related to the acts committed by the individual for whom the SOLE Wikipedia page the image is intended for use upon.
  • Image was literally the 1st time many people saw the face behind the crimes. The Mirror was the sole newspaper to publish the article on day one (10 February 1983)
  • Image is slightly cropped (in addition to being of a low resolution quality), therefore making commercial use of reproduced copies of the image highly unlikely
  • Image is black and white, whereas original was colour.
  • It is unlikely that a freely-licensed image suitable for illustrating this section of the article describing the murders committed by Dennis Nilsen exist, owing to the nature of the article.
  • Image is very slightly skewed
  • The (low quality, cropped reproduction) photograph can be reasonably described as "irreplaceable" and meets the Non-free content criteria - in particular, given the fact that this image has been widely distributed outside of Wikipedia in much greater sizes, in addition to colour versions, that no free alternative exists.
  • The image is significant given the content of the sole section of the article.
