Object history
Deutsch: Klüsserath gehörte ehedem zur Landesherrschaft des Kurfürstentums Erzstift Trier; deshalb das kurtrierische rote Kreuz in Silber. Die Lilie weist auf die Muttergottes als Pfarrpatronin von Klüsserath. Der Schildfuß ist dem Wappen der Ritter von Hagen zur Motte entnommen. (In Gold ein roter Balken, begleitet oben von 9 (5:4), unten von 6 (3:2:1) roten Längsschindeln). Grabstein des 1558 verstorbenen Ritters Richard von Hagen im Chor der Kirche zu Klüsserath. Er war ein großer Wohltäter der Kirche und Gemeinde Klüsserath und lebt durch die Jahrhunderte hindurch in dankbarer Erinnerung der Gemeindebürger fort; deshalb ein Teil seines Wappens in verwechselten Farben im Gemeindewappen.
