English: The Crucifixion Ioannis Moskos "POEM OF JOHN [ANNOU] MOSCOW APSIA', My Lord, in your Kingdom (ΠΟΙΗΜΑ ΙΩ[ΑΝΝΟΥ] ΜΟΣΚΟΥ ΑΨΙΑ΄ , Μνήστι μου Κύριε εν τη Βασιλεία σου")" It is a multifaceted composition based on western works. In the middle dominates the large cross with the Crucified, projected in a golden background, while black clouds spread around it. To the right and left of the cross of Christ are the two robbers, of whom the left one crowned by a flying angel says to Christ: Bless me Lord in your Kingdom. At the base of the cross are represented the swooning of the Virgin Mary, Magdalene, John, princes, the crowd of the Sanhedrin, soldiers on foot and on horseback, one of whom spears the side of Jesus, the clothing compartment on the first level and in the background is the darkened Jerusalem.
Ελληνικά: Η Σταύρωση Ιωάννης Μόσκος "ΠΟΙΗΜΑ ΙΩ[ΑΝΝΟΥ] ΜΟΣΚΟΥ ΑΨΙΑ΄ , Μνήστι μου Κύριε εν τη Βασιλεία σου" Είναι μία πολυπρόσωπη σύνθεση που βασίζεται σε δυτικά έργα. Στο μέσον δεσπόζει ο μεγάλος σταυρός με τον Εσταυρωμένο που προβάλλεται σε χρυσό βάθος, ενώ γύρω του απλώνονται μαύρα σύννεφα. Δεξιά και αριστερά από τον σταυρό του Χριστού βρίσκονται οι δύο ληστές, από τους οποίους ο αριστερός που στέφεται από ιπτάμενο άγγελο λέγει προς τον Χριστό: Μνήστι μου Κύριε εν τη Βασιλεία σου. Στη βάση του σταυρού παριστάνονται η λιποθυμία της Παναγίας, η Μαγδαληνή, ο Ιωάννης, άρχοντες, το πλήθος των σάνχεντριν, πεζοί και έφιπποι στρατιώτες, από τους οποίους ένας λογχίζει την πλευρά του Ιησού, ο διαμερισμός των ιματίων στο πρώτο επίπεδο και στο βάθος βρίσκεται η σκοτεινιασμένη Ιερουσαλήμ. |
