Description
English: Western and northern sides of the Cookes House (also known as "Tom Paine's House"), located at 438-440 Codorus Street in York, Pennsylvania, United States. Built in 1761, it was used by members of the Second Continental Congress during the period that it met in York; Thomas Paine is reputed to have stayed there. The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
