Français : Caligo oileus C. & R. Felder, 1861 (mâle ; verso), parfois aussi nommé comme d’autres membres de cette famille "papillons hiboux" en raison de leurs grandes ocelles qui évoquent des yeux de hiboux.
Ce spécimen de papillon forestier sud-américain (Venezuela, Colombie, Équateur), de de la famille des Nymphalidae (sous-famille des Morphinae provient des collections naturalistes du Musée d'histoire naturelle de Lille.
English: Caligo Oileus C. & R. Felder, 1861 (male; back), sometimes also known as other members of this family "owl butterfly" because of the large eyespots that evoke owls eyes.
This specimen of South American forest butterfly (Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador), of the family of Nymphalidae (subfamily Morphinae comes from the naturalists collections of Lille natural history Museum.
Nederlands: CALIGO OILEUS C. & R. Felder, 1861 (mannelijk, rug), soms ook wel bekend als de andere leden van deze familie "uilvlinder" vanwege de grote eyespots dat uilen ogen te roepen.
Dit exemplaar van Zuid-Amerikaanse bossen vlinder (Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador), van de familie van Nymphalidae (onderfamilie Morpho's komt uit de naturalisten collecties van Lille Natural History Museum.
Deutsch: Caligo Oileus C. & R. Felder, 1861 (männlich, hinten), manchmal auch als andere Mitglieder dieser Familie "Eule Schmetterling" wegen der großen bekannten eyespots die Eulen Augen hervorrufen.
