copyright owner
Lorna Kellett, sister of subject (as credited in source)
Source (WP:NFCC#4) Original publication: 1st edition of source, 1986

Immediate source: p. 144 of "Ben Nevis" (2nd edition) by Ken Crocket and Simon Richardson, SMT 2009

Date of publication 1986
Use in article (WP:NFCC#7) Brian Pinder Kellett
Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) for visual identification of the person in question, at the top of his/her biographical article
Not replaceable with
free media because
(WP:NFCC#1)
I believe this to be the only extant close photograph of the adult Kellett.
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3) It will be used once only, in the article about the subject.
Respect for
commercial opportunities
(WP:NFCC#2)
This is a grainy black-and-white photograph from the early 1940s. Even if Ms Kellett (sister) is still alive, I can't imagine what commercial opportunities would exist.
Other information The subject of the photograph has been deceased since: Brian Pinder Kellett

Since Ms Kellett commissioned Brian Kellett's memorial in Glen Nevis when she "realised how much he had done on Ben Nevis and its significance to him", it would in any case seem unlikely that she would object to his photograph being used to augment an article recording his climbing career.
