Summary

Description Four Royal Navy shore based Blackburn Skua Mk.II aircraft of the Fleet Air Arm lined up and ready to take off from the airfield at HMS Sparrowhawk, Royal Naval Air Station Hatston, the Orkneys (UK). Skuas from 800 and 803 Naval Air Squadrons were based at Hatson during the Norwegian Campaign in 1940 and sank the German light cruiser Königsberg at Bergen on 9 April 1940.
