Deutsch: Die beiden Wappenbilder verdeutlichen die wirtschaftliche Situation von Laakirchen: Während große Teile des Gemeindegebietes der landwirtschaftlichen Nutzung vorbehalten sind, ist andererseits die Industrie, insbesondere die Papierproduktion, ein ansehnlicher Faktor des Erwerbslebens. Das Wellenband kennzeichnet die Lage der Gemeinde an der Traun sowie deren Bedeutung für die industrielle Nutzung der Wasserkraft.
