English: "Photo 17.2 Nigel with the statue." Filmmaker Nigel Randell Evans is the maker of the documentary "The African King (1990)" about the illegal trade in Malian art. On the table a classic Djenné-Djenno terracotta statue from the 15th/16th century from the inner delta of the Niger River. It depicts a sideways looking "king", according to the trader, with bracelets, a necklace with pendant and a dagger on the left upper arm. The statue has disappeared.

Sur la table une statue classique en terre cuite Djenné-Djenno du 15ème / 16ème siècle du delta intérieur du fleuve Niger. Il représente un "roi" regardant de côté, selon le commerçant, avec des bracelets, un collier avec pendentif et un poignard sur le bras gauche. La statuette a disparu.

Het beeldt een zijdelings kijkende "koning" volgens de handelaar af met armbanden, een halssnoer met pendant en een dolk op de linkerbovenarm. Het beeld is verdwenen.
