Deutsch: Flugplatz von Union Island (TVSU), St. Vincent und die Grenadinen. Flugweg beim Einfliegen in das Sichtanflugverfahren an Bord Helenair Beech 99 N899CA, ankommend von Vigie, Castries, St. Lucia (TLCP). Von der Fotoposition erfolgt eine weite 270-Grad-Kurve mit Umfliegen eines Hügels an der Backbordseite im Endanflug. Mit meiner damaligen Flugerfahrung habe ich nicht schlecht gestaunt, mit welcher Leichtigkeit dieser nicht einfache Anflug ausgeführt wurde.
English: Union Island airfield (TVSU), St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Flightpath upon entering the visual approach pattern on board Helenair Beech 99 N899CA from St. Lucia (TLCP). From the position where the photo was taken (starboard side of the aircraft), the pilot flying was performing a wide 270 degree turn to the right, circumnavigating a hill on the lefthand side on "finals" (more resembling a snakelike final approach). |
