Description1985 Ford Escort Popular 1.1 estate (11780637884).jpg
I love the Mk 3 Ford Escorts, and to see one in base spec, and unmodified was a lovely sight. You just don't have three door estates any more.
This one looked really well used, like the thousands you saw everywhere back in the 90s. I think most of these were culled around the turn of the millennium, so to see one kept for such a long time is excellent, especially a bog standard lowest spec, and not an upmarket Ghia. This one also has the teeniest 1.1 litre engine, an older one carried over from the Fiesta. The owner splashed out on foglights! This one's not far from its 30th birthday. Can anyone find out for me how many owners this one's had?
What I especially liked with this one was the badges in the front and back windows "Avon and Somerset Constabulary Vehicle Watch". These were a common stolen car back in the day, but I'm not sure how much interest one would hold to a 21st century potential car thief?!
