Studebaker built wagons in the 1800s, electric automobiles starting in 1902 and gasoline vehicles from 1904 to 1966.
Studebakers top of the line President name was first used from 1926-42 and then again used from 1955-58, a premium trimmed model again. The 1956 President received boxier bodywork, with pronounced eyebrows over the headlights and large tailfins.
