Summary

Description
English: In 1788, a new currency was introduced in the Dutchies of Schleswig and Holstein, those days ruled by the king of Denmark, Christian VII. The 2 1/2 Schillinge coin was the smallest commodity money coin in that system. It contained the same amount of silver as 1/48 Speciestaler of which 9,25 were struck from a Cologne Mark of silver.
