Français : Arrivée des feeders au pied des antennes rideaux fixes du Centre E. Les feeders aériens, qui sont symétrisés, acheminent vers les dipôles rayonnants des antennes le signal HF des blocs émetteurs situés dans un bâtiment technique proche.
English: Feedlines at the foot of shortwave antennas at French international shortwave transmitting station at Issoudun. The antennas are called curtain arrays, consisting of a rectangular array of wire dipole antennas suspended in front of a vertical "curtain" of parallel wires. The antennas radiate a powerful beam of radio waves into the sky at a shallow angle above the horizon. The waves reflect off the ionosphere and return to Earth beyond the horizon, in the target country, and are picked up by listeners with shortwave radios. |
