Durefishan Saleem is a Pakistani actress who appears on Urdu television.[2] She made her acting debut with a supporting role in Hum TV's Dil Ruba (2020)[3] as a supporting actress and nominated for Lux Style Awards for Best New comer.[4]

Later, she made lead debut with Bhaaras (2020)[5] for which she received ARY People's Choice Awards for New Emerging Talent (Female).[6] Then she got her recognition and fame through the dramatic Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi (2022)[7] and light-hearted romantic Ishq Murshid (2023)[8] and Khaie (2024).[9][10]

Early life and career[edit]

Durefishan was born in Lahore, Punjab to Saleem-ul-Hassan, who worked as a director and as a producer for PTV in the 2000s.[11] In 2019, she moved to Karachi to make her career in acting.[12]

Durefishan made her acting debut with a supporting role in the 2020 serial Dil Ruba. She then played a female protagonist in Bharaas. Durefishan then portrayed Aimen in the 2021 television series Pardes[13] and also played a CSS officer in Juda Huway Kuch Is Tarhan.[14]

In 2024, She played the lead role in Hum TV's Ishq Murshid and in Geo Entertainment's Khaie.[15][16]
