User:Lexi Marie/Confirmation of sysophood

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I propose that sysop status should be confirmed in RFA after an admin has been adminning a while. After a new sysop is created, after a while they would be required to re-nominate themselves in RFA, where voters would vote on whether they feel the sysop is doing a good job. They would be removed if they are so terrible that they fail. Failing would be a very rare occurance. If this were to become a policy, admins made before the policy would need to be confirmed also.

We all make mistakes. Don't lie, you do too! This process could help current admins become even better, with constructive criticism.

RFA is fairly busy. To keep from causing more RFA load, this should be done under a seperate section of RFA.

A good example of a sysophood confirmation on RFA is Wikipedia:Requests_for_adminship/Seth_Ilys_(renomination)
