Uniforms[edit]

Could the uniforms be added to this template? "El Clásico" article was using the deleted Football rivalry template, which did include uniforms. After the deletion, it was replaced by this template. Could this be done? Can I do it?--Coquidragon (talk) 18:59, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You could try reinserting the football rivalry template, unless there's an issue... –HTD 22:36, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Alternatively, you could easily put the kits into the "image" parameter as I have done here:

| image = {{colbegin}}
{{Football kit
| align = left
| pattern_la = _navyborder
| pattern_b = _lutontown2011
| pattern_ra = _navyborder
| pattern_sh = _white_border
| pattern_so = _orangetop
| leftarm = FF3300
| body = FF3300
| rightarm = FF3300
| shorts = 000033
| socks = FFFFFF
| title = [[Luton Town F.C.|Luton Town]]
home colours
}}
{{Football kit
| align = right
| pattern_la = _watford1112h
| pattern_b = _watford1112h
| pattern_ra = _watford1112h
| leftarm = F1EF00
| body = F1EF00
| rightarm = F1EF00
| shorts = ED2127
| socks = ED2127
| title = [[Watford F.C.|Watford]]
home colours
}}
{{colend}}

Hope this helps. In my opinion it's an informative and helpful way of heading the article: we can't use the logos of the teams, but we can use kits like this, and they are (in many cases) just as recognisable, or perhaps more so. Cliftonian (talk) 23:48, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Map?[edit]

The French version of this template includes a rather nifty map showing the rivals in geographic context. See example here. Can we adopt that? --Dweller (talk) 09:17, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Wonderful, thank you. --Dweller (talk) 12:04, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome. Give me a ping if anything breaks. Alakzi (talk) 12:15, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Weird Spacing on some pages using this infobox template[edit]

Does anyone have ideas for why the Bills–Dolphins rivalry and Dodgers–Giants rivalry have an odd space added between the first team's logo and name and the second team's logo and name? I can't find anything in the template or on those pages otherwise that would cause this unsightly behavior. Omnibus (talk) 23:23, 18 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Similarly, across several pages I checked, this infobox starts one line too low, a line lower than most other infoboxes do, changing the right margin of the page's line 1 to be different from other lines. I think that's why the comment on the most recent edit on Capitals–Penguins rivalry included "Can somebody fix the table at the top of the page." Can someone fix that? Thanks. Sullidav (talk) 16:55, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think the needed fix is that this infobox's title / caption belongs inside the box, instead of on top of it.Sullidav (talk) 17:03, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Comparative between two teams: "most wins" -> "more wins"[edit]

This template appears to have a field that displays as "Most wins". However, it also appears to primarily be applicable for rivalries between two teams. AFAIK all or virtually all standard written English variants call for the comparative more rather than the superlative most when two items are compared. Unfortunately, I don't know how to change this without breaking hundreds of usages. I would imagine a bot is needed to change all those usages. PhilipR (talk) 18:24, 13 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
