Emblem size parameter[edit]

Folks, I am not sure whether this talk page is monitored, but posting anyway. Can someone more adept at template coding, please edit this template to allow for an image size parameter for the club emblem? I was trying to add the club emblem to the ibox on Agecroft Rowing Club and the template scaled it up to a ridiculous size, giving rise to image jaggies and other distortion. Thanks in advance. – ukexpat (talk) 16:37, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Done: User:Algebraist has tweaked the code to include and EMBLEMSIZE parameter, so thanks to him for that! – ukexpat (talk) 16:06, 21 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Three letter boat codes[edit]

Do people think we should change the template to include the club's three letter boat codes now that these are compulsory for all boats under ARA rules? If so, could someone do it please - I'm not sure where to start. Thanks.--Teach46 (talk) 19:06, 6 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oxford colleges[edit]

I wasn't involved in the recent merge of the Oxford boat clubs template, but understand the reasoning. I just changed the coxswain to Captain of coxes, since that is the correct title. I wonder if we should remove the "captain" fields however, in these college clubs both captain of coxes and captains are students and the holders of the positions change every year. This probably isn't the most informative information to give in an infobox. Aloneinthewild (talk) 16:17, 19 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I would support removing these for Oxford boat clubs, which would also allow us to change the label back to Coxswain, which is the correct title for the position. the alternative would be to have an additional |captain_of_coxes= for the Oxford position. not all rowing clubs are university/college rowing clubs, so not all the captains / coxswain are necessarily students. I see you've added an extra field for coxswain/captain of coxes which makes sense. At least in UK clubs coxswain refers to anyone who steers the boat, so there are usually multiple. Agree though on the captain field, outside of universities the correct head title might be captain. Aloneinthewild (talk) 13:05, 26 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Key People[edit]

I'd like to suggest combining the various 'key people' (Captain, President etc) under one parameter. Compare the example at Template:Infobox Company. There's a bit of work to do to bring together the various named parameters in play at the moment though. Mrh30 (talk) 09:40, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
