Typo[edit]

The infobox has "Men's singles" and "Ladies singles"; can there be some consistency, please? Either the second should be "Ladies' singles" (my choice) or the first should be "Men singles". Please fix it ASAP! 76.68.133.73 (talk) 19:23, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed! Thanks for pointing it out. :) Kolindigo (talk) 06:13, 17 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Navigation links[edit]

I can not switch between the Europeans and the Worlds of the same year. Is there the chance to put something like "next competition" or "previous competition" in this infobox. I have not managed to do so. Uwe Langer (talk) 20:02, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The infobox isn't set up to link to the next or previous ISU Championship that occured in a season. It is currently set up to go to the next or previous year's edition of that competition, and to the next or previous Grand Prix event, because those are in a series and so the progression is important. I can add previous and next ISU Championships to the infobox if it's important information to have, navigation-wise. Kolindigo (talk) 00:43, 26 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please edit fixed text in template[edit]

There has recently been a move to give the figure skating discipline ice dance its correct name, where it was previously referred to as "ice dancing". For example, the Ice dancing article was renamed Ice dance on 18 July, and "Category:Ice dancing" was renamed "Category:Ice dance" on 19 August. Both were uncontroversial and therefore implemented speedily. The correct name for the discipline is "ice dance" and we are currently aiming to tidy up across the board.

I have noticed that the figure skating competition infobox still uses "Ice dancing" and this needs to be corrected to "Ice dance". Having looked at the documentation, I am specifically referring to the championdance, defenddance, and reigndance parameters, which appear to be rendered in the infobox under an "Ice dancing:" heading (standard text) below the "Champions" heading (bold text). Please change the "Ice dancing:" heading to read "Ice dance:" – thank you. Rodney Baggins (talk) 22:40, 26 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, but you only did a partial edit for the reigndance parameter. I've since realised that I can do the edit myself – for some reason I thought the template data was hidden/protected from me – so I've changed the label for the other two parameters and updated the documentation. Challenger Series[edit]

Could something like the section for Grand Prix events also be added to the template for Challenger Series events, as the Challenge Series is also a series of events? So adding something like the below onto the template that would display as Previous/Next CS in the infobox:

|previouscs=
|nextcs=

This way, both the previous/next editions of the event (e.g. Nebelhorn Trophy) can be included, as well as the previous/next events in that season's Challenger Series.

Thank you. Sunnyou31 (talk) 13:56, 28 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Realized how to add it myself. Infobox now includes ability to have previous/next Challenger Series events listed. Sunnyou31 (talk) 22:14, 31 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
