MOS:INFOBOXFLAG[edit]

The |champions= parameter in this template is somehow adding the flag of the winning country along with its name. The use of flagicons/flags in infoboxes has been deprecated by MOS:INFOBOXFLAG and is no longer considered appropriate. There's really no reason to give the flag for a country when the country's name is being wikiliked to its stand-alone article.- Marchjuly (talk) 05:14, 16 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Cities and venues[edit]

Per WP:INFOBOXPURPOSE, saying how many cities and how many venues make no sense. Saying the name and venue name present brief information, the purpose of the Infobox. The Champions and Most Valuable Player must have no flags. --Osplace 03:24, 15 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Major link problem[edit]

This template has a major problem in that it only links male national teams, no matter of if it is a competition for men or women. Not sure what is the best solution, maybe as gender as a parameter? Gunnar Larsson (talk) 20:18, 12 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sitting Volleyball[edit]

When put in Sitting volleyball teams in for the 2022 World Champs article, it doesn't work and only gives me men's volleyball teams instead. Can someone fix that so Sitting volleyball teams are included? ILoveSport2006 (talk) 10:36, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
